Introduction

This tournament is organized for Baduk players from all over the world to gather and have good relations and to spread Baduk (Go) through the world. It will be held every year. Furthermore it helps Korea in doing its best to join the Olympic Games.

Jeonju is the mecca of Korea Baduk and it has a lot of traditional cultural heritage. It is also famous for a food, called "Jeonju Bibimbab".

Everyone is welcome!! Come and enjoy Baduk, side events, sightseeing, food and so on! If you are lucky, you might play with Lee Chang-ho.

Schedule

Arrival is on Friday 20th October 2006 and events run from Saturday 21st to Wednesday 25th October. After Thursday sightseeing, check-out is on Friday 27th October.

Events

Invited national representatives will complete in the Prime Minister Cup for a top prize of 3000USD. A limited number of individuals can enter for a fee and compete in the other events (KABA Cup, Lee Chang-ho Cup and so on). There is also a Lightning Tournament open to all and side events featuring Korean culture, Konu game, pro games and so on. The 4th International Conference on Baduk (ICOB4) is also on.
