1st China v. Europe Online Go Tournament Has Started
On March 31, a new competition has started: The 1st China v. Europe Online Go Tournament.
The tournament has a ‘win-and-continue’ format. There are two participating teams, European and Chinese, each consisting of ten players. Each round, one game is played between a pair of players from the two teams. The winner keeps playing in the next round, while the loser gets eliminated. The tournament continues until one of the teams doesn’t have any players left. The other team becomes the winner of the tournament.
The European team consists of some strong amateur players and a few professional players. The Chinese team has amateurs players only, a few of which are top Chinese amateurs and former world champions.
The tournament is played online on YIKE Go Server daily at 12:00 UTC+2.
