The winners of the 1st Female Latin American League, Renate Reisenneger and Claudia Flores (both from Chile), both got to play a teaching match with Cho Hye-Yeon 9p from KBA, and the games were broadcast online.
After each game, much to the audience’s delight, Cho provided insightful reviews explaining how she viewed and thought about the games. You can watch the full record of the event here.
Also, the best-placed double digit kyu player, Andrea Zelener from Argentina, got a chance to play a teaching game with her countryman Fernando Aguilar 6 dan.
It’s worth mentioning that this is the first Latin American Female league ever, and it was organised by the Ibero American Go Federation Gender Commission in an attempt to promote female participation of the game.
The league was played from the 2nd to the 29th of March and 13 players from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Venezuela took part.
We hope to bring you more news on activities for female players so stay tuned!
