2nd Transatlantic Professional Go League Starts Soon
The first Transatlantic Professional Go League (TPGL) took place online in May–August 2021. It caught the attention of numerous go fans around the globe. The winner was Ryan Li 3p, who defeated Ilya Shikshin 4p in the final with a score of 2-0.
The second TPGL will start on April 2. This time two American amateurs Kevin Yang 7d and Brady Zhang 7d were invited to join the eight professionals – seven EGF-certified pros and Ryan Li 3p. All the participants are divided into two groups of five players, and the three highest-scored players of each group proceed to the playoffs. For more details, see the web page of the event.
The matches start at 18:00 CEST each weekend and the games are commented live by professional players on the European Go Federation’s Twitch channel.
The first match of the second TPGL will be played on April 2 between Ilya Shikshin 4p and Kevin Yang 7d.
