On 3rd November, China·ASEAN Go AI Forum is held in Panzhou, Guizhou Province. The secretary of IGF, Mr. Wang Yi hosts this forum. Hua Yigang, Lin Jianchao, Ma Xiaochun and You Xiaochuan are invited to be distinguished guests.
You Xiaochuan, the professor of Tsinghua University and the inventor of Abacus(Go AI), talks about Alphago Zero. He concludes two points of Alphago Zero’s innovation: 1- promotion on calculation 2- independent from human experience. And he detailly analyzes his ideas.
Hua Yigang, the former president of China Qiyuan, talks about the changes in Go field since Go AI appeared. He says: it’s normal that people are astonished about the emergence of strong Go AI. But we don’t need to worry about its development, it will help us develop technology and productivity. By the end, he demonstrates some changes that players have made in last two years.
Ma Xiaochun, the Chinese grand master and world champion, expresses his feeling of playing with Go AI. He jokingly says that he has gotten old which makes him make mistakes in games. But he considers that Go AI will promote the Go development.
Lin Jianchao, the vice president of Chinese Weiqi Association, points out four points for Go AI 1- recognition to Alphago’s progress 2- How can Go AI service for Human kind. 3- How can Go activities adapt to AI era. 4- How to learn from Go AI. He believes that China is still not the strongest country of Go AI development, but China has the biggest market. So China should be the dominator of Go Al research and development.
