The 5th European Go Grand Slam Tournament was held on 25–28 April in Berlin, Germany. 12 top European players competed for the generous winner’s prize of €10,000.

Grand Slam is the most prestigious tournament in Europe. European professional players are qualified automatically, while the rest of the players have several possible ways to join. One of the possible ways is the Grand Slam Qualification tournament.

This year the winner was Mateusz Surma 2p (Poland). In the final game he defeated Artem Kachanovskyi 2p (Ukraine).
