Ariane Ougier 3 dan becomes the European Women’s Champion 2019

EWGC 2019 was held on 6–8 September 2019 in Trier, Germany. 36 players from 11 countries participated, including 16 dan players.

Ariane Ougier 3 dan from France showed a perfect performance and remained undefeated in all the six rounds of the tournament, thus becoming the European Women’s Champion 2019. Dina Burdakova 5 dan (Russia) and Natalia Kovaleva 5 dan (Russia) followed her on the second and third places.

Aside from the competition itself, it was also a great holiday for the participants. They had a chance to visit a local vineyard and a wine-tasting dinner, Roman thermal baths, and a Chinese dumpling cooking class.
